In early 2002 Attingo expanded the Communication Centre
formula into so called Communication Zones. A Communication Zone is an area
where passengers have access to the Internet on one of the public Internet
terminals or wireless on their own laptop. The objective is to serve the
demanding passengers of Schiphol Airport by providing fast and easy-to-use
Internet connections in all public areas of the terminal complex. Because
of these expansions Schiphol is clearly profiled as a forerunner airport,
as it provides its travellers access to the latest technology with unmatched
ease of use. The same look and feel as the Communication Centre assures
a consistent message and service level on more than 125 Internet workstations
across the airport.
Communication Zones are located in lounge 1 top level, C-concourse, D-concourse
and Holland Boulevard second level.
At the same time we expanded the Wi-Fi coverage to areas most frequented
by travellers with a notebook or handheld. There is an increasing demand
from passengers to access information while they are in the airport, and
high-speed Wi-Fi access is a value-added, convenient service to these passengers.
With these services, Attingo gives the business travellers a convenient
and economical way to turn waiting time into a communication and thus working
or relaxing opportunity, making travel more productive and less stressful.
